Baking while camping

As we are currently camping in Bellingham, MA, since my waffle iron is also a pizzelle maker the dear family decided to make some pizzelles using the old family recipe.
I'm afraid to hear what their next food adventure might be!! (as we usually do homemade ice cream for the holidays)😃

On our last trip my DW made an apple crisp using an old family recipe. We were on our way to visit my cousin and we brought desert.

My wife made 5-6 dozen Christmas cookies last year and every Christmas morning is cinnamon rolls. She's made brownies. And I've made filling/stuffing balls (or dressing, if that's what you call it). Of course there are also frozen pizzas (French bread size for ease of cooking).

Being fulltime, we don't shy away from using our oven.

The trick really is a pizza stone or unglazed tile in the bottom to spread the heat. And maybe turning stuff while cooking.

The DW saw the post and said "sounds like a challenge". So I'm guessing something is getting baked before we get home and pack it away for a few months!! (Do have a bunch of apples still in the camper!!!)
Happy Thanksgiving to all and be safe!!

Heating pre-made rolls in the oven now. Not really baking per-say, but still yummy!

We are full time and use our oven often. We just started using an electric smoker and plan to use it for baking as well once we figure it out. My wife also just made a pumpkin pie in a Dutch oven. Looks great, can't wait to try it! She gave herself a goal of making a full Thanksgiving dinner without using the oven.

DW doesn't do oven baking, she actually uses the oven for a dish cabinet, but we don't do-without all oven baked items,...... discovered the Presto Pizzazz Plus Rotating Oven last year and love it, ..... its a small package and easy to use and to store, .... does pizza, french fries, and everything else that we've used it for, just as well as any full size oven could, ....... sometimes you just have to improvise ........

Reconsider use of a long extension cord for a device that uses lots of electricity. Do you not have an outlet under the dinette?

Unfortunately, no outlet under the dinette yet. I made sure the cord was a heavy duty type (it's actually the one I use for the block heater on my truck). And made sure I wasn't using any other electric to overload the circuit.

And we use the oven a lot, just wish the inside was a little taller since there's tons of room under the burner. The DW did "throw together" a last minute rhubarb-apple crisp before we packed up and came home. Sorry no pics as it was eaten before I even thought of a camera!!!

Now to winterize and plan next years trips!!
