Building a BBQ smoker
Adding the towing package to the wife's SUV so she can bring this cooker with us when we're camping late in the summer and fall. Mainly when it's not too hot outside to sit and feed a fire for 10 or 12 hours.
Spent the last four months building a cooker out of a couple 250 gallon propane tanks and a 1969 boat trailer for those that might be interested.

Sweet! You could even 'rent' smoker space to other campers! Lol. You'll be the hit of the campground no matter what. I better not let the wife see this thread or I'll be cutting and welding too.

DANG Bro ~ I haven't seen one built like that since I left Texas! You've done a good job on that to say the least! Only thing I would add is "drip pans" underneath the cooking grates to catch all the meat drippings (much easier to clean out). I like the liquid pan you have added inside.
Bar-B-Que for drinks!!

Actually just burned out the drain hole in the bottom and right now just put a metal bucket underneath. At some point, I'll come up with a more elegant solution, but at least it'll drip out!

Love to feed as many as possible! I can do about 12 large briskets on this configuration or about 50 pork shoulders! That comes out to about 200 pounds of finished product...

Looks like a nice little unit! I've cooked on Traegers before and they are very easy. We have a little gas grill that we bring for burgers and dogs with the camper.
When it comes to BBQ I'm a purist. I grew up in North Carolina, and the only way (for me) to call something BBQ is if it's cooked only with fire. No gas assist, no electric element, only wood, fire and smoke!
