Our Ozark friends introduced us to their home made Apple Pie Moonshine. Really smooth, and very dangerous!

I will never understand the popularity of mixing perfectly good booze with soda pop. You might as well use White Wolf vodka.

Quality alcohol deserves to be tasted with water and/or ice. I like a little flavoring, like 1/2 to an ounce or so. It is easy to get good ingredients now at a big liquor store. My latest favorite is old fashioned mix by craft cocktail. A glass of Pendleton whiskey with some water a splash of this mix is really good.

The only adulterant that I want in top shelf whiskey is ice. Regular grade stuff, mix away. Tequila, regular grade, is best mixed but top-of-the-line stuff is best with just ice.

I know mixing fireball with angry orchard ale tastes like cinnamon-y apple cider.

You can drink it warm in the winter, or over ice in the summer.

Strictly shots for me with an occasional margarita or Mai-Tai if at the beach. Like a high quality rum, bourbon or mescal on the rocks at times too

I am missing summer drinks. Margaritas, rum and coconut water are my summer favorites. Interspersed with a nice gin and tonic. And last summer started making aviation cocktails. https://www.winemag.com/recipe/the-o...tion-cocktail/
That is a blast from the past! 1920's anyone? I had to have my store special order some of the ingredients.

I've seen this one floating around FB for the last couple of weeks. More of a "winter" drink I guess but I imagine it would still work on some of those chilly spring or fall nights.

It is completely amazing that so many people talk about how they like bourbon, rum, gin or vodka mixed with Coke, or Sprite or orange soda. You are doing your best to hide the taste of the alcohol.

A balanced cocktail often has a few ingredients. A margarita is one of the most popular as an example. It has lime juice for sour, Triple sec for sweet to balance the tequila. Good tequila is under estimated by most people.

I used to really enjoy cocktails when camping and wandered around in campgrounds to meet people, especially Canadians. I like to drink vodka, run, gin, bourbon and single malt. Some times neat, sometimes with water. Sometimes with fruit juice and lime, tonic, soda or what we have on hand.

Now I have heart issues and have turned into a lightweight. I have a seltzer drink, maybe two. I like the Coors and Bud versions except for the mango flavor.

Dirty snowmen look fun. BEHOLD! The Aviation. From last summer's backyard shenanigans.

While not a cocktail, I'll stick to my Cabernet Sauvignon. So versatile and some actually say it is good for ya.

Skydiving

So last summer my wife got me another watch for my collection I had my eye on. It is from the Seiko Presage "Cocktail" series, watches named after and resembling cocktails. Mine was the Ice Blue Skydiving. Had to make the drink. Who isn't attracted to a blue drink??? Behold, the drink and the watch named after it.

I'm Thirsty

Bourbon, one ice cube unless it's really hot out then add a second cube

mix up the margs ahead in a pitcher, keep in fridge and pour over ice. We both like ours on the rocks.

Gin and tonic is simple and very refreshing on a hot day as well.

ENJOY!!!
