This is a great thread, gone for almost a year! I'm a basic kinda guy, typically - good stuff maybe mixed with ice/water, but trying something new is fun and there are a lot of good ideas here!

Thanks for bringing it back, BamaGrad.

A commedian once said that the answer to life's problems is not in the bottom af a bottle. He knew this because he'd emptied a bunch and it wasn't in any of them.[emoji41]

Well my favorite for summer is vodka and tonic with a twist of lime. Refreshing. Later RJD

We drink a good deal of wine. During the summer it is typically a Rose wine. One cocktail we especially love though is an Aperol Spritz. Prosecco, Aperol, and club soda. But anything is delicious [emoji39]Click image for larger version

Bourbon and water
Gin and tonic
Tequila with lime
Good beer

If you don't like adult drinks, you probably don't like alcohol.

An Italian favorite! When my brother in law came back from Italy, it's all he drank that summer.

Wait a second...weren't you railing against drinking recently? Maybe a campfire thread? Did we ruin you?

I have a "Bullet" style blender that I purchased at Walmart for about $15 that lives in our camper. My favorite drink is a pineapple slush.

4 pineapple slices
4" banana
1/2 cup coconut milk
1.5 oz Malibu coconut rum

Whirl around with 3-4 cubes of ice until smooth and serve.

Campground Cocktails

This is my favorite cocktail in the whole wide world. Sam Adams used to call it White Christmas. I think the real reason they changed the name was so as not to offend anyone (it offended me that they changed the name to something non-offensive) but they say it was so they could sell it at times other than just Christmas. The availability was no different than last year. I’d drink it year-round if I could get it.
(Yes, I know it’s not really a cocktail. But it’s still my favorite cocktail.)Click image for larger version

I did Rebel Yell in the Marines during my time stationed in Dixie. Wayback, try Basil Hayden. Y'll not be disappointed. It's so smooth, you'll do a double take at bottle to make sure you're drinking whiskey! Favorite pool drink is a giant rum and coconut water. While I float around listening to Calypso music.

So I usually serve Irish coffee out of a 100 cup coffee maker to anyone walking around at the music festivals we go to. COVID brought that to an end (temporarily) so ventured out in to Irish coffee pudding shots - filled the freezer & they were great and easily handed out to friends to accompany our usual beer tasting - the pic is from last weekend at the beginning & the end of the festival while celebrating friends' birthdays.

Basic pudding shot recipe to make ahead
- 3/4 c milk
- 3/4 alcohol; blend & add
- small box instant pudding; fold in
-8 oz container whipped cream
Makes 25 two ounce containers of frozen goodness....
