For you Captain Morgan fans out there I came across the Costco Spiced Rum and gave it a try. 1.75 liter for $15. It isn't exactly like the Captain or Sailor Jerry but it's not bad at all.

Whiskey sour - easy, pleazly and not too sweet
2 oz - Water
6 oz - Candaian Mist (or)
3 oz - Lemon juice
3 oz - Simple syrup
Served over ice it will fill two tervis mugs, add a cherry to each. We have a ritual eating of the fruit at the end of the evening (thats how we know what our limit was that night). we added the water just to keep the liquor down to 3 oz a drink..
Best served with, well we will let you know when we find something it doesn't fit...

Some quality home made sangria - store bought works if you embellish. A good bottle of Muscato wine - Seven Daughters is great. Don't forget the cheese and fruit plate, please.

PURPLE HOOTER
A hometown favorite... Be careful with this one... Tastes like grape cool-aid and packs a punch.
1oz Chambord (or Razzmatazz)
1oz vodka
1oz triple sec
3/4 oz Blue Curaçao
Splash of 7-up
Put first four in a shaker with ice. Shake, pour and top with a splash of 7-up. Makes 2-3 mini drinks (shots).

I fill this with 10 ounces of water a single packet of lemonade Crystal Lite and one and a half shot of 1800 Tequila. I'm currently working on my first of the evening, does the trick.
