We used ours Thanksgiving to roast our Cornish game hens. Pampered Chef stone on top of the metal plate at the bottom of the oven and had excellent results!

I can do everything better in a BBQ pit or smaller electric toaster oven. We got ours without one.

Not to mention that your wife is terrified of propane. We use ours all the time when not making something over the fire in one of our three cast iron dutch ovens.

I can relate to being afraid of the propane tanks. On my first outing it suddenly dawn on me that the bed was directly on the other side of the propane tanks. It took a while to get used to it and not worry about "what if....". Still wouldn't be my first choice of sleeping quarters given a choice but I am able to sleep in peace now.

Yes! Wouldn't buy a camper without one. You can cook stuff in it and store stuff in it

But you drive around sitting over 20-30 gallons of gasoline.
In keeping on the theme, we use ours every trip. A pampered chef square stone made it cook right. Cinnamon rolls in the morning, biscuits, pizza, and if raining out, shake and bake inside.

True but I think the difference is that I'm awake and not sleeping. At lease it doesn't brother me any longer.

Have to improvise
We had an oven in our 2004 Salem, but not in our 2011 Flagstaff
Wish it would have been part of our purchase, but we have managed to improvise.
The storage without the oven allows for plenty-o-crockery. (that's cookware, mate)
We've been thinking of replacing the standard microwave oven with a convection microwave.... gotta research that one. I understand that a convection microwave can cook biscuits...

Ordered ours without one, but did order the convection oven. We are full time and in the place of the oven I installed a 18" apartment dish washer, (I have my "needs" with the truck, etc., wife has hers inside ). She uses it to bake everything, and I mine everything, she is always baking something, (not complaining just have to let the belt out some ). I do grill some outside, also. The convection oven took some time to learn, but she does great with it now. You cannot beat a baked roast, pototoes, carrots, beans and gabbage .
God bless

Have used it in all the campers that we have owned. We used it over the holiday to make cornbread dressing.

I make these !
Hot, freshly baked, risen overnight (frozen) cinnamon rolls. They come in a bag, you take out what you need and leave the rest in the freezer for another day. Fabulous!
Ovens make great toast, a ham is great in the oven - left overs for lunch the next day, Sometimes we make strata in the oven for sunday b-fast with friends - especially if it's cold or rainy. I'd sooner give up the shower than the oven - it's much more useful

oven
Haven't used it at all. Not sure if it even works.
Maybe that's something I can get the wife to work on seeing my birthday not to far off, maybe I can get a cake out of the deal.

Totally agree,we never use our shower as it is far nicer to use CG facilities.
BTW those are some pretty tasty looking cinny buns Janet.

I have a small popup - no oven or microwave. I always thought a microwave would be useful. Then I got a bigger popup with both. I dont use the oven daily, but I do use it. It allows for a larger variety of foods. I can make a great breakfast frittata, or brownies, or things like that.
Microwave? useful, but I could give it up.

we hardly use our oven but it is good to have it. When I camp I cook mostly outdoor inside my eureka dining shelter. Sometimes I will cook a chicken in the oven of my trailer even if the trailer is parked in the driveway.A chicken cooked in these gas ovens cannot be beaten for their tenderness and taste.

One of the reasons bathrooms its the unit with the huge bathroom. Can't handle a lot of those yucky campground showers.
