GREAT PICS!
What fish you frying?
I love fishing but don't eat much of it.

Trout and walleye top my list.
Btw what happened to plumbing and fw tank? Sore subject?

I thought you might be there. We have met lots of people from Gillette in the Bighorns. Without giving away your secret favorite spot where were you? Were you boondocking? We will be spending eight nights in the Bighorns. Four nights in Shell Creek & four nights in MiddleFork Campgrounds. Also, possibly boondocking for a couple more somewhere in the Bighorns or near Cooke City this summer.

Ummm...need to return to the fish question...what are those?

Warmovies, the lake was medicine lodge lake. We boondocked about 8 miles away and atv'd to the lake. We will probably go through Sheridan to get there this year, instead of going through Hyattville. The fish were trout. Thanks for the reply.

Wiscampsin, The view is definately beautiful, hopefully we get some more snow up there so it's not so dry. There was a fire ban almost all summer last year. Thanks for the reply

You must be the real mccoy if you camped up by Medicine Lake AND drove up the west side of the mountain to get there! I've never been back in that area but it seems like its quite the road trip. It's on my short list to make a trip into that area including Upper and Lower Paintrock lakes.

You are right that it sure was dry up there. We stayed in the National Forest campgrounds and were able to have campfires but all you boondockers we ran across were under orders to not have fires. We had to carry a fire extinguisher with us when we went out hunting for firewood with our chainsaw. That felt a little uneasy to say the least.

Maybe you can keep me updated as to how much snow they are getting up there?? This will probably influence us if we boondock up there. Hunting for firewood and having fires is just as important as food in our world.

What happened to fw tank and valves was that we followed a guy who knew a "shortcut" and after the first big hump in the road it was too late to turn around. So about 6 miles later we found a spot to do so. To make a long story short, flat tire, ripped off valves, busted tank, and a little cosmetic damage, turned around and found a great spot we should have stopped at first! Oh well lesson learned, turned out to be a good trip anyway.

Great pics, and looks like good family fun. If you ever make it down here to the swamps, we'll take you catfishing. You'll throw those trout away.

Yes we have to get up there again, just a little earlier in the year. We have so much more to explore and a bunch more lakes to fish.
