Healthy Chili Recipe (Delicious)

The following recipe is not only delicious, it’s good for your health too. Please don’t send any PM me telling me real chili doesn’t contain beans. MY chili does.

Low Fat Heart Healthy Chili

1 lb. of Ground Turkey
1 Medium Onion Chopped
2 Cloves of Garlic finely minced
2 16 oz. cans of Kidney Beans
1 16 oz. can of Pinto Beans
2 15 oz. cans of Tomato Sauce
1 24 oz. can of Diced Tomatoes
2/3 pkg of French's Original Chili-O Mix (1.75 oz.)
1/8 tsp Cayenne Pepper
1 Green Bell Pepper Chopped
1 Yellow Bell Pepper Chopped

Brown the Ground Turkey in a skillet. In a 5 quart pan add the Kidney beans, Pinto Beans, Tomato Sauce, Diced Tomatoes, Garlic, browned turkey, and French's chili mix, cayenne pepper, and put on the stove on high heat. Chop the onion, and both Bell Peppers and add to the mix on the stove. When the chili starts to boil, cover the pot and reduce to a low heat stirring occasionally. Cook for 45 to 60 minutes.

OPTIONAL:
Substituted one can of black beans for one of the cans of Kidney beans.
For more heat you can increase the amount of Cayenne Pepper to ½ tsp.

Hunters can cook this chili ahead of time and freeze it for later use at their camp.

Oakman, no Jalapeno? The thought of a nice hot bowl of chili got my tummy growlin'.

Beans are very healthy and contain a lot of fiber. Of course the fiber is what keeps the 'ol metabolism going strong. That's where 6 adults sleeping in the trailer becomes a real problem and of course a real potential danger if there's any open flame around.

I commend you for thinking ahead on the beans and sleeping in the same close quarters - not sure I would have.

I can see the insurance claim.

Reason for claim:Furnace ignited, causing methane explosion.

I can now confirm the delicious description used in OP's post. I made it this evening and we thought it was fan-freaking-tastic.
On a related note, I know what I'm having for lunch tomorrow

Pretty good stuff. I'll fix it again with some slight mods to suit personal taste.
