HEY Jolly!!!!

Ok, what would be your recommendation. A 6 quart, 9 1/3 quart or 12 quart? I was thinking maybe a combo of the 6 and 9 1/3. And as far as tripods go, would you recommend a 36" or 60"? (Dutch Ovens is what we be talking about)

I always say...bigger is better.
I use a 12, and like it best. You can cook for more people, or bake larger items. (pizza)
I prefer a larger diameter as to a deeper kettle.
If you like using them...you'll end up buying more of them anyway.
Not sure about the tripod...as I use a table to cook on. The taller one may give you more adjustment options.
My favorite oven is the Lodge brand cast iron.

The camp style Dutch Ovens have legs on the bottom. The coals fit under them, and on the lid, as it has a raised lip around it to keep them there.
You can also stack two ovens to share coals with multiple ovens.

Ok, now I am REALLY confused. If the coals slip under the pot, how do I keep from burning the table down?

I think I would go for a tabletop charcoal grill, remove the grill, and set the oven in there.

Here's an old picture of the JollyMon using the Dutch Oven while camping.
I am using the LODGE brand 12" oven (6 qt) and the Dutch Oven table (Cabelas):

The oven looks like this:

PS...most Dutch Oven recipes go by the size in inches of the oven. (12" or 14") I seldom remember the sizes in quarts...but that's just me.
You don't need a fancy table like mine to use one...you can use them right on the firepit, cooking grid, camp stove, oven, tripod, ground, etc.
