Fabbed up a bracket for the rotisserie that I had ( a new one should come w/hardware )
tested it in the garage . Headed out to the campsite today. Will post pics in a few days.
Hope it works or I'll never hear the end of it

Well , we got the rotisserie, preped the bird with cut apples inside, coated the outside with olive oil , sage , rosemary.
put it on a spit and started to roast.

Thanks flowsmith, my girl loved it ! I used white oak and holly for the heat . What was funny is the 2nd pic where the duck looks at what cooking on the fire! we also did apple and cherry cobbler in a 10" dutch over that turned out very well.

My wife makes a turkey in our Weber, and it comes out great. But she's very particular and even counts every piece of charcoal and has the time down to seconds. And I don't go near it (the BBQ) though- it's her thing and I stay away.

Wow. You're missing all the fun. We have a blast sitting around drinking and smoking while the turkey is roasting. Usually just a special occasion, so we're not spending hours a day cooking and cleaning. And we eat to live. And live to eat good while camping!

We cook the turkey in the oven just like home, a small turkey, say around seven pounds. We only eat turkey for a couple of days

I cook everything I can on my medium Big Green Egg. Turkey turns out great, lots of flavour and juicy.
