Kathy's camper crockpot

Here's another recipe DW prepared tonight - at home - to test. Sure was good and an easily prepared meal - for camping! Here it is, verbatum:

Chicken and Stuffing Recipe:
This Chicken and Stuffing recipe makes six servings, each contains 321 calories and six grams of fat.

WHAT YOU NEED:
6 whole boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 box Stove Top stuffing mix
1 can 98% fat-free Cream of Mushroom Soup
1/2 cup water

WHAT TO DO:
1. Spray inside of 3.5 quart crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
2. Place chicken breasts into crock
3. Separately combine stuffing mix, soup and water. Then spread over the
top of chicken.
4. Cover. Cook 6-8hrs

Now, a word from me - the chief clean up person and food tester. The chicken will appear very dark, esp at the edges. This is only because the edges are getting a little crisp - wonderful taste. Secondly, I'd suggest the use of a crockpot liner bag. DW said you may want to use almost a complete second box of Stove Top.

You can't taste the mushrooms. DW said you could use cream of onion. Unless you don't like onion! (My adlib)

I do something similar.... I use cream of chicken instead of mushroom and add swiss cheese to the top of the chicken. It is one of our favorite meals to make.

When we cook for TIME the crock pot sets the temp. DW thinks it's low.
