Got the flame up? Mine will boil over if you don't turn the burner back down once it starts to perk...

Use to perk all my coffee to where it was almost like mud.

But now I use a Mr Coffee 12 cup, the one that shuts off after a couple hours. Drink like two large cups in the morning and the rest goes in the thermos. That usually lasts all day.

Seattle's Best, I stock up on it at Bi-Mart

I'm the only one that drinks it, so I keep a 12 cup stainless steel thermos and fill it up as we get to a convenience store...lasts me about 3 days and a little microwave power. Most stores only charge me about $1.50 or so for the refill and I can get it bold, flavored, or whatever looks good at the time.

Foldgers Black Silk with a French Press. If I am on a bit of a hurry, a Keurig with a My K Cup filter and Black Silk. During the day Iced Tea.

By the way... I was told before, the darker the roast, the more flavor; also, the least amount of caffeine. Decaf Coffee originaly was regular Coffee roasted a longer time. Now days, caffeine is chemicaly extracted. Light Flavor Coffee has the largest amount of Caffeine. So... for a good jolt, get the Lightest Roast possible. Have you noticed, Breakfast Blends are lighter roast?

If it is just for a weekend, we just boil water, and use Starbucks French Roast Via's. But if camping for a whole week, we bring the coffee maker along. I like all the flavors, so to my french roast I add 2 pumps of vanilla syrup and 1 teaspoon of hot cocoa mix, tastes just like a starbucks vanilla mocha.

I use a Keurig at home. DH is a Mt. Dew guy. I was using a 2 cup Mr. Coffee but my inlaws bought me a small Hamilton Beach for Christmas that uses the K cups. So I will be trying that out on our first trip. I also have the old enamel coffee pot if the power is out.. Theres also the hope that the neighbors with coffee would take pity on me or just give me some to stop the crying lol..

12 cup Mr. Coffee brews Maxwell House in mine.Wife use to,but now I drink alone, unless we have family. Then it's more enjoyable with other drinkers in the house.
