Low Country boil

New member here. I've enjoyed looking through the posts so far. Cooking is my favorite part of camping! One of my favorite recipes is a low country boil. We live in N Florida, so seafood is readily available. I use a homemade single burner and a big pot. Start by boing a couple gallons water, add a bag of Old Bay seasoning. New potatoes, 2-3 whole bunches of garlic, and Nettles Sausage ( a North Florida favorite) till the taters are done. Add some corn and celery for a few minutes. Toss in some shrimp and take it off the heat. Drain and dump on a pile of newspaper spread out on the site's picnic table, no plates needed!

Makes be hungry just reading (lol). We live over in South Mississippi and know the "boil" well. Not much difference. We use Zaterains seasoning instead of Bay (personal taste). In season, sub Crawfish for the Shrimp...yummy.

And don't forget the blue crabs, if you can get them.
