I'm ready.

Krewe of Janus parade here next Saturday.

Krewe of Janus | Monroe, LA 71211

We always have a big tailgating cookout at it, as my friend has a business right at the beginning of the route.

At 47 years of age, I hope I have finally matured enough to quit elbowing little kids and women in the mouth, chasing thrown beads.

But I said that at 46, 45, 44, 43, etc.

Mardi Gras

The folks that were right behind me in the pic were from Monroe. They said they drove 275 miles for the parade in Slidell. They should have drive another 20 mins and been in New Orleans.
As for King Cakes, I like them all but my fav is the pecan praline from Pauls Pastry. There is something about that warm cream cheese and pecans. Good stuff!!! Ya'll have fun...

Will be taking the DW to New Orleans for Mardi Gras on Fat Tuesday (17th Feb) for her birthday. We have never been and expecting a great time. Hopefully the wife will get some great beads.
