Outdoor Stove

Hello - We have a Rockwood Mini Lite with the outside propane grill and a
retractable gas hose. Does anyone know of a two burner stove that could be used on the attachment rail and hose. At certain times of the year it would be nice to be able to use a cook stove outside. Matt

In my experience, anything will work as you envision it. It might take some searching for the right parts but it should work.

two burner stove
I have yet to find a two burner stove (not a grill) that works with the LOW pressure regulator/connector on the side of the TT...

does anyone know of one?

Would this not work?
Just needs the regulator removed and the quick connection installed.

I know the propane that comes out of the side hose on my TT is low pressure ( looked up the model number of the fitting and is described as low pressure) as is all of the pressure delivered through the standard propane tank regulators...

those burners look like high pressure burners to me (in the link you provided) and although that will probably light, it wont give the heat it was designed to deliver...

I currently use a 3 burner that came out of a pop-up. it already had the mounting channel to hang it where the grill goes and had the correct quick disconnect propane fitting. unfortunately I'm short and the stove was pretty high when hanging on the outside so I bought a 10' extension hose and set the stove on table that I can set out from under the awning if I want to. (extension hose works with BBQ also)

Camp Chef sells several low pressure stoves. We bought the Weekender for $120. The burners are 20 000 btu, and extremely powerful. It comes with legs, but they are quite short, so we prefer to use the stove on a table. They also sell a RV extension hose.

now that I recall my last year's thought process on this issue... yes there are low pressure burners available...

I wanted to use my 10 year old Coleman Roadtrip grill which I love and have many accessories for. This grill will use low pressure, but I cannot find an additional burner to LP regulator connector. I would have to cut off the connector on mine and not use the regulator and hook directly to the LP hose using the unique adapter COleman supplies with this stove. I was not willing to do that to my regulator/adapter but I did want to buy a secondary adapter to cut apart and hook to the TT LP hose. I think I will search again... maybe the adapters are back in stock

Thanks to all for the suggestions of burners...

UPDATE

anyone throwing away a Coleman Roadtrip LX grill?

the replacement regulator assembly had been on backorder for over a year...

and I don't believe the in-stock date will hold...
I just cleaned mine up after another year of use and it still works after about 10 seasons of use. I would like another regulator....

thx Turbs for the quick come-back

but at $64 plus shipping it is nearly triple what the out-of-stock places want... My current one is working for direct hookup to 1# tanks, but as I mentioned I don't want to cut the reg off just to try to hook it to the low pressure hose on the TT...

I would pay that price if I needed one to make the current Roadtrip grill work!

I'm amazed at the response and great input to my question about the stove. I do have a nice two burner stove that has the same burners as that Cajun Stove, and will maybe remove the regulator hose and adapt for the quick connect. The original hose is for a direct connection to a tank.

My thanks to everyone for their ideas and experience. The Hot weather is beginning to turn here in Texas and we'll be spending a week near Pedernales Falls next week, and I'd love to cook outside...Matt

You can get either a 2 burner or 3 burner Suburban stove through your dealer. They're both really nice. The stove insert comes in a grayish blowmolded base with a molded in tray in the front, windguards and mounting rail attached. My buddy has the Rockwood version of the same trailer and got a 2 burner stove instead of the RVQ (by request). He bought the TT at CW. When I ordered my TT, I requested to do the same deal(not knowing there were 2), mine came with the 3 burner one. You'll want the 2 burner one... it stores way easier.

Flybob...
thx for the link but in the reviews someone mentions that it does not fit on that Roadtrip grill specifically mentioning my model XL... seems the thread on pipe to stove connection is not the right size...

the correct one has been back ordered for over a year... I may never see one...

I've seen pics of the stove Jeff mentioned, but can't locate one to order. I'll check with my FR dealer to see if they can order one, though, like every other accessory in their store, it will probably be way over priced. I'm lucky to have a PPL catalog and store near by, so maybe they can order one...Matt
