Oven how-to?
I hate to admit this, but I don't know how to use the oven in our TT. It's your standard little oven, under a three burner stove. The trailer didn't come with instructions on how to use it and I've been too embarrassed to ask. But now we're looking at going out more and I'd really like to bake stuff. Can somebody tell me how to use the oven, please?

If it is a gas oven (and it is like mine), you will have to lite the pilot. Turn the oven to pilot and hold in the button while lighting the pilot (small tube in top/back lower area). I would lite the stove first (to make sure gas is to the line) so you don't have to hold the pilot in as long. Once the pilot lights and burns for a few seconds you can let the button back out. If the pilot goes out you stopped holding it in to quick.

A quick tip- the heating can be fairly uneven. If you put a pizza stone on the bottom, it's supposed to help distribute the heat and bake better.

I will add that once the pilot light is lit continue to hold the oven knob in for about 20 seconds before releasing it. If the pilot light goes out repeat the procedure.

And your fingers. Speaking of experience. And a flashlight will come handy for the first attempts until you know with your eyes closed where the pilot light is located. WAY back there.

Mine will usually stay lit after only 5-10 seconds! That helps my knees!
Flashlite and long reach lighter needed to do this!
Also- we second the idea to use a pizza stone. Place your biscuit/cake pan
on top of a pizza stone.
USE a light colored aluminum pan not a dark no stick pan. This helps to not burn the bottom as bad.

Thanks for all the tips! I also found a You Tube video that was helpful. Now I just gotta get a lighter and a pizza stone!
