Yes we have not had any problems with it so far.... We went with the pizza stone only because of the size. Could have used any one of the ideas suggested such as tiles, etc that will distribute the heat. Our stone does have small "feet" on it so there is a slight (1/8 or 1/16") between the stone and the bottom of the oven.

I have run it several times now with no sign of warpage or other problematic looking effects on the bottom diffuser pan. I will keep an eye on this as I could see where it might be a problem, but so far so good.

Unglazed tile

I saw on one forum how you can go to Lowes and get an unglazed tile and it is much cheaper. (tera cotta, etc)

Yes you could do that... but we use the stone as an actual pizza stone occasionally for some home made pizzas... (Prefer over store bought/delivered)

DW found this trick----------------

Dw found this trick on one of the cooking channels. If you are using a dark non stick pan to bake Cinnamon rolls, wrap the bottom of the non stick pan with heavy duty cooking aluminum foil. I didn't believe her when she told me to try it. Well it worked, no burnt bottoms of any kind of rolls. It really works.

I even burnt rolls with a pizza stone in the oven but after the foil trick, it works.

Non-stick any kind of pans

When using the ovens in the RV's, they are notorious for burning any kind of baking items on the bottom. As stated above, when using any kind of non-stick pan (even muffin pan) simply wrap the (insulate) outside bottom of the cooking pan with cooking aluminum foil. You will not believe it, but it works.

I covered the pizza stone with foil so pie drips wouldn't wreck it. The oven overheated, cooked the stone black and broke it to pieces.

That's for sure, still waiting on pre-Goshen samples.

I wonder if cutting made it break? We have a round one that is 13 inches diameter, so it will fit in our oven and still allow air to circulate

My hubby and I went to our local lowe's and also Home Depot and neither had unglazed tile (terra Cotta). I am going to check out local Habitat Humanity Restore they usually have tile there maybe we will find unglazed ones. I also thought perhaps if we could find some of the old white tiles that used to go in the old gas room heaters that they may works a bit too
since they are made for heat
