Our next camping trip I am going to try a rib roast over the open fire. I ordered one of those battery operated rotisseries that sticks in the ground over the fire. I'm going to try a chicken first then the rib roast. Any tips will be appreciated.

I forgot to include Woof'ems in my previous post. Glue a three inch long 1 inch dowel to a 3 foot long 3/8 inch dowel by drilling a 3/8 inch hole in part of the one inch dowel piece. This will give you a handle.

Spray the fat part of the dowel with cooking spray (Pam). Wrap a small refrigerated biscuit (not the flaky kind) around the fat dowel by placing the biscuit on the end and pulling it down over the dowel. The dough will continue to slide back up, but keep working it as you toast it over the grill or fire, like you toast a marshmallow. When it is done cooking, fill with pudding (we use pudding cups, but you can make your own) or pie filling. Top with whipped cream and enjoy!
