NDJollyMon is correct about some places not allowing imported firewood, especially government controlled CGs. The reason is insect infestation and diseases can be introduced to an otherwise "clean" area. I can agree with the regulation and I wouldn't want to be responsible for transporting pine beetles, for example, to an area that was safe from their destruction until I arrived. I try to practice the "no trace" method of camping, even at campgrounds.

we have a few restrictions like that here in oregon, including if you camp and have Horses, and bring hay to feed them in the wallowa area, it has to be certified as "clean" hey, or buy some there locally. reason is keeping noxious weed seed out of the area. same goes for the wood and pine/bark beetles, as stated earlier....

NIce fire pit... how much propane does it burn in say...a weekend of use???
