Wink Propane Grill Frustration!!!!

I am looking for recommendations for a new propane grill to take with us in our 5th wheel. Currently we have Coleman 9941-768 Road Trip Grill LX and I just don't care for the way it cooks. Might just be the one we have but it has hot spots and the food tastes more fried than grilled. . Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to waste more money on another bad purchase.

Check out the Weber Q series. They are Weber's portable grills. The Q100 is a great grill for less than $150 - can get it at WalMart or CW. The Q200 is bigger and gives you extra room to cook if you want something a little bigger but still portable.

I love my Weber home grill - can't buy a better product, and even made in the USA! I also have a Coleman Roadtrip that still works pretty well, but after trying the Q, that will no doubt be my next one.

Read up on the weber Q. There is a small light Q100 that works well for my Family we use it camping. And they have a bigger Q200 also. The q100 runs on the green bottles or you can get a hose to use it on a 20lbs tank. Some people have been known to convert it to run hooked right up to the trailer.

Weber Q220

Would definitely recommend the Weber series. It is a little big for storing but works great. Have had ours for over 4 years now. Have even used it to bake cakes, cinnamon buns and even peanut butter cookies. When my home grill dies, will probably replace it with a Weber portable. Does the job for us.

Another vote for the Weber Q100 or 120.

Fabulous Bbq.

Easy to clean too.

Converted our 220 to run on the propane quick connect...no bottles or 20lb tanks to haul around

Weber Q, in our case the 120 (with the shelves). Fantastic grill, serves as our home grill as well. It'll never let you down.

Look at the Char-Broil TRU-Infrared Grill2Go. I have one of the larger Char-Broil TRU-Infrared grills at home and it constantly amazes me. It never flares up. It has really good temperature control. It never seems to dry out whatever meat is on it. I even did a whole turkey directly on the grate, and it came out nice and juicy.

My only complaint with the Grill2Go is that the legs do not fold up so it is too tall to fit in the outside compartment where I like to store my grill.

Check out this thread I created re the Char Broil Tru Infrared....

We are totally infatuated with this grill!....so much so that we're now draggin' it out of the "RV stuff storage room" to grill on it here at home!

We also *love* the fact that it fits right in a duffle bag type carrier.

Big grilling surface too!

We also bought this...

Amazon.com: Coleman Pack-Away Kitchen: Sports & Outdoors

At the Coleman outlet in Pigeon Forge recently.

That thing is amazing! Very sturdy...the Char Broil grill fits perfectly on the right hand side, (those rails are adjustable) and it all folds up to store in that tiny metal attache' type case.

We ran in to a "first" while in TN...the park we were in didn't want anyone putting their grill on their picnic tables. I think they meant charcoal because of their concern re melting or burning the table, but to be safe we used this.

P.S. DH and I have always been charcoal purists, but this Char Broil grill converted us.

Here's the "duffle bag" type carrier for the Tru-Infrared you can buy to carry it in.

Char-Broil Grill2Go X200 Carry-All

It even has storage pockets underneath the grill for two gas canisters.

The Weber Q220 works fantastic for us and found the grill size to be just right for our needs. True it takes up a fair amount of storage space but well worth it. Would buy another Weber any time.

Try a Hibachi grill and get that charcoal flavor. Takes up less room.

Also, for charcoal lovers - like me - Weber makes a table model that is the kettle type but with short legs. Fits upright in my outside storage compartment.

I would love to see some pictures of both the Weber and Char-Broil grills mentioned here in action with food on them. I have not pulled the trigger on a nicer grill for our trailer because I just don't see anything I like. I am concerned about the size of both the Grill2Go and Q100 as I like to do baked potatoes, corn on the cob, etc on the grill as well. I want something large enough to fit a rack of ribs plus some veggies on at the same time.

I bought the CampChef Pro 60 and it is awesome. A little heavy but works wonders. I got the one burner griddle and the one burner pro bbq box. Actually fits in the rear hatch on my Rockwood A122S.
