Question VitaMix takes to the road!!

After much success (lost 20 pounds!!) with a Magic Bullet and the various brews that come forth out of it, I got Sweet Wife a VitaMix. OK, she begged just a little.

Which she now wants to take along with us in the trailer. (We are not FT)

What are your experiences at home and on the road with these things? So far we have pureed some golf balls and turned a cinder block into aquarium gravel.

The thing is big. Is it worth the hassle or just stick with the smaller but less versatile Magic Bullet while on the road. What are your experiences?

Looking forward to making hot soups with this thing, Wisconsin Cheese soup being one of my favorites.

I LOVE my Vita Mix!!!! I use it just about every single day. It is a BIG investment so I would probably leave my Vita Mix at home and take my Bullet with me camping. Just a thought.

Congratulations on your weight loss!!! You will have to share your recipes with us!!

Actually it's her weight loss, not mine. If I lost 20 pounds I'd be in the hospital. She looks and feels great, lost it all since Labor Day with no problems or discomfort, grinding up stuff in the Magic Bullet.

She got all her recipes out of the book that came with it. And she saw a Magic Bullet show on QVC TV that had some stuff. Now she's mixing and matching her own concoctions.

Take it...and whatever else your wife would like. You know what they say "happy wife, happy life". That being said, I will be taking my Vitamix with us this winter when we head south.

When competion dieting we used to go through 5-6 shakes a day....we have EVERY mixer...as far as easy....stick type handblender......light easy and the high end ones will do all the damage you need....but nothing wring with taking a vitamin either really...just bigger, heavier, and if u break it you will be much sadder...lol

In the end do what makes ya happy....

We've had our vitamins for 14 years and wouldn't leave home without it. I ground up a stainless steel spoon and broke the connector plate in the bottom. When I called the vita mix factory they sent me one for free and instructions on how to fix it. Great service good smoothies and lots of great soups. Use it almost every day when on the road. Wouldn't be without it.
