I drilled ours out @ the bottom,,, in hopes of making a drain !!!
3 or 4 years ago we had a flag pole in our front yard,,, it had @ one time been a light pole that was converted to a flag pole,,, over several years it must have gotten about a foot or so of water inside of it,,, then one winter it froze up and cracked this Very Heave Steel Pole !!! I still have no idea how the water got in side,,, there is no openings anywhere ??? I can't believe it could have been condensation !!!

Probably buried in here somewhere, but I can't find.
Can anyone advise me on connecting the Claw anchors directly to the end of the pole?
Would allow for one less thing to mess with by eliminating the straps.

In case you're not familiar, here is a link to the Claw. http://tweetys.com/the-claw-tie-down...JewxoC1_7w_wcB

Couple of things I've thought of:
1. Would need a quick release connector to remove the Claw for stowing, and
2. Would need some kind of turnbuckle to take up any slack (eliminating and up/down play in the setup).
Thoughts?

Send a message via Yahoo to bob caldwell
Use a split collar that has an ID of your pole....it would be adjustable. Thread an eye bolt into it's side and one for the claw

Poles will NOT fit carefree awnings without modification to the poles.

I also do have mounting brackets available.

I have several variations that I can build.

Emt steel poles Un painted.
Aluminum poles Un painted.

Emt poles powder coated black or white.
Aluminum poles powder coated black or white.

Brackets will be powder coated the same color as poles to match.

All holes will be pre drilled and poles will be ready to bolt on. "Less paint" if you prefer.

I will ship these anywhere in the lower 48

If your interested let me know.

Hey TURBS,

Will your brackets and poles work with a Solera (Lippert) power awning?

Thanks!
