Spend a few hours at a buffing wheel and polish them. They look better imo and can be "touched up" when scratched which you can't do with paint or powder coating.

Some people don't have the skill or spare time to polish poles. I for one don't either. The idea of awning poles are great, thanks OC for making them. Turbs thanks for kicking it up a notch with powder coating and aluminum as well. I am waiting till the new trailer as with my current 9 ft and 10 ft awnings it seems senseless for poles.

That is pretty tall! I wonder if 1 1/2 powder coated emt might be a better choice so theyt don't collapse.. I am sure Iowa engineering can figure this out!

Timmy really does need a set of triples. He always get a crappy site on the edge of a hill so he needs the extra long awning poles. Most campgrounds want to keep him on a site where the water will run down hill instead of flooding all of his neighbors.
