In my attaching kits, I furnish (2) 1/4"x3/4" ss bolts and ss nyloc nuts to install in the 2nd hole to make sure the bracket does not turn and also take some load off the motor/torsion spring mounting bolts. Also makes it easier to remove without drilling if you want to change color or install on another awning.

The poles system works good, but there is still a problem with the wind tearing the awning lose for the RV. At least that has been my experience.

You need to add de-flappers. OCW came up with an excellent idea that I copied and used in some horribly strong winds in FL this past winter. They work great! With these self storing poles, you can add more de-flappers if necessary. Brilliant idea.
