OCW (Bob Caldwell) came up with the original deflapper telescoping pole idea.

Also a special shout out to Glenn (I think) for coming up with the idea of the deflapper poles.

I made a set of deflappers myself and combining those with the hold down poles(Turbs) deployed I spent a nice relaxing week camped out on a unprotected point with some pretty good winds and storms at Mistletoe State Park last week! Never once was I concerned!

So definitely a great investment!

Thank you!
They look great!

At least a Turbs product is manufactured with the correct way to make the poles drain properly. I do like the powder coating option as well. Now just red a new Columbus to mount them on.

The original large pole down with a ground pad which are also made in the USofA by a real US citizen (as opposed to an Iowegian) have drain holes in the very bottom, not like the upside down poles that have the end plugged and the drain hole above the plug. B and B is goofed up also.

BTW, the only thing he's done right in his entire life is marry the beautiful Ms. Amy and buy a Chevy.

Bob
Can you take a closer pic of the mounting points for the deflapper pole?
Thanks...
