Your poles were put on the jig last night.
Had to retool for your "special" requirements.

GOOD NEWS!
I think I have found and outlet for aluminum poles in 6 foot lengths!
1/2 fitting into 5/8 and 5/8 fitting into 3/4
I'm currently waiting for a shipping quote to see if these are feasible to make and ship to all you fine folks.
So if you've been wanting lightweight aluminum poles That "you" can polish hopefully I've found an answer.
More info soon!

Looks like aluminum poles shipped to your door will run $130.00
Could be less when I get the first set made and weighed for shipping.
Any interest?

The aluminum tubing I will be using will have about the same nominal thickness as the EMT conduit
The aluminum is .058 which should make these poles very lightweight and easy to handle!
I'm ordering materials in about an hour.
Contact me if interested.
Thanks to those who already have.

that's exactly what I need, something else to keep clean and polish...
I go camping so I don't have to work, not to create more work

I think that's why I got the awning poles, to save me all the hard work putting the awning in and out... that's hard work pushing that button
While I make jokes, i still think these are the best upgrade to camper you can make. Thank you Old Coot and Turbs for providing them. I have thought about getting another set so that when The upgrade bug hits, i will be ready

Ok there are 458 replys to this topic and I'm not about to go the route so here is my question which may have been address here. Knowing the power awnings use small motors and subject to failure is the mounting of the awning hold down kit with poles going to affect the motor if you leave the poles attached when retracting or is one suppose to remove poles when retracting? Just curious. Later RJD

NO PROBLEM with the motors that I know of Had them on since OC started to make them. The motors are stonger then you think.

I have one set of poles going to powder coater tomorrow or Monday unless you want the unpainted.
Up for grabs.

I have a set of black powder coated awning poles @ a discount if anyone is interested.
There's a slight blemish in the powder coating, that unless pointed out is minimally noticeable.
Contact me for more info.

ALUMINUM POLES HAVE ARRIVED!
No worries on these not being heavy or strong enough!
I've already got one set sold and will get them made by the end of the weekend!
If I can get enough orders to place a bulk order I can make these cheaper!
I'm excited to offer these great looking poles to the forum!
Stay tuned for the finished product!
