Pros and cons to both sides of the needed or not issue. I've seen the awnings dance in the wind gusts. If you aren't going to be present, tie it down or put it in. Your prices are realistic for the material and time involved, IMHO. I've made a set of brackets and poles myself of some different materials but, I had access to the means to make it happen

.060 is 1.53mm in comparison
.062 is a 1/16" or 1.59mm

Do you mean that you didn't have to buff it out on a wheel for 3hrs? That's some nice looking material, best I have seen.

Took about 5 minutes with mothers and a rag to shine one pole after taking 600 grit to it.

Installed my brackets and poles last week before this weekends trip
Good thing I did as we had gusts to 35 mph Friday night. Awning stayed out all night with no issues.
I'm just another greatly satisfied customer of the brackets and poles.
