Anyway I am preparing to make a set of poles to go with my brackets. Being a partially disabled Vietnam veteran I need to select the best solution the first time and do it right the first time. Works best for me to get everything I need with only one trip to HD or Lowes including poles, feet, etc.. OldCoot, for the long haul will the electrical conduit work better than the PVC? Turbs, I could use a few more details on what you used for heat shrink material and how it was applied. Also looking for recommendations as to what is best for the "feet". Thank you gentlemen (I think).
Thin wall heat shrink. "Use heat gun to shrink"

See if this helps.

For my I used 1/2" solid round stock 3" long drill a 3/16" hole in bottom the pop riveted a washer on it then drilled a 3/16" hole thru the tube and round stock and riveted in .

OC - are you planning on making any more pole kits when you get back from FL next year?

The additional information helps. Making my material list then off the Home Depot. I hope to also locate paint that is close enough to my dark browning awning arms so I can paint the brackets. Plan to drill the awning arm so I can add the second SS bolt to each bracket.
