To those who ordered & paid for poles

To those who ordered & paid for poles only or complete sets, please pm me or mike618 as he will be here tomorrow or Thurs morning to pick up the poles and install his. We need to know who mike618 is picking up for, who is going to pick them up in Nashville, who is going to pick them up in N'ville and deliver to Goshen.

Please give me or mike618 your FRF name and real name so we can tag them accordingly.

I have 3 sets of poles only and 3 sets with brackets.

Yours are tagged for Mike to take to N'ville and then Goshen.

Down to 4 sets to figure out who takes where and when. Mike618 will be here in the morning, so you remaining 4 please pm either me or Mike618.

Question... If you install these poles you have to set one side of the awning at an angle to let water drain off correct? Then you will essentially lose the "auto-dump" feature of power awnings?

I'm wondering because I constantly forget to tip my awning. The auto-dump actually saved me last weekend when we went out to dinner and it started sprinkling. Came back and there was no water sitting on top of the awning.

THEN I remembered to tip it down.

You are correct in that the poles eliminate the auto dump feature. Most folks complain that it doesn't work anyway, which is/was my experience. With the poles, you set the tilt when you engage the poles and stake/tie them down. I always extend the pole on the door end to whatever height it is to the awning in its normal height and stake/tie it down. I then adjust the other end about 4"-6" shorter to get the tilt and then just stake/tie it down. No need for the auto dump feature and worrying about the wind bouncing the awning.

Still need some instructions from HSVBAMABOB & IndyMule as to who is delivering their poles to N'ville.

[QUOTE=TURBS;860989]These are specifically for a power awning.
I'd find it hard to believe they'd find a reason to void your warranty because of these.
If anything they should be happy you put them on to save the awning!

TURBS

My 13 Sabre went back to the factory for several warranty items and I didn't have a chance to remove awning poles. They didn't cause any grief from the factory warranty people for me anyways.
