I hope everyone that ordered the pole kits have got them by now. If not, please either email me or pm me and we'll see what is the hold up.

Well, got the stainless steel bolts and the 3/16" x 5/8" pop rivets today, just need the stainless steel nyloc nuts and the hinge pins and can start bagging the misc. hardware for the kits. No word on the upper and lower brackets. Once the brackets are ready, the work begins.

Meanwhile, my useless worker is sitting on his duff somewhere in Iowa, hundreds of miles from where the work is. (Naturally)

Hitch pins and stainless steel nyloc nuts got here today, now if I just get word the brackets are ready to pick up, I can start drilling/forming/bead blasting the brackets and start assembling the kits.

Sounds like allot of work even without the polls. Will keep a lookout for the finished product on this sight.

Just under 1,000 holes to drill, chamfer and deburr. Not nearly as bad as the whole kit with the poles. The poles alone had over 2,100 for just 25 sets.

Just got back from a 3,000 mile trip. Poles traveled really well and looked good and natural on the side of the unit. Worked as advertised and I was very impressed. What really gave these awing poles the A+ marking was when after only one hour after putting the awing and poles out at Pensacola, that a couple walking their puppy walked directly at our unit and the first words were, "tell us about your awning poles and where can we get a set. We have a new unit with the electric awing and wanted but could not get the old style awing with the pole supports." I gave them the info on this forum and to do a search for 'Old Coot'..... I showed the gentleman every piece and how they were fabricated by a master craftsman. He loved your user name and loved your poles too.
Thank-you OC.
Two thumbs up
