Dang I must be going blind. That's actually where I went.. Home Depot, and must have walked past them at least twice. I'll try again in the morning. I would really like to have all the necessary pieces before I head out.

Thanks for your patience Kaadk. The info is much appreciated.

We got two of the last sets of poles OC made and sold, but I'm sure the following will be true even with your own poles:

I was hanging awning lights, standing on a short step/ladder stool. I lost my balance and would have fallen if not for the fact that I grabbed on to a pole. Pole didn't budge...saved me from a fall.

Once you put those straps and earth anchors on, those awnings are SOLID!
I can imagine. It just only makes too much sense I'm surprised it's not a standard feature.

(chuckle) The beauty of the whole set up, IMO, is the self storing feature.

I've had people approach us at truck stops and ask if ours were "an upgrade from the manufacturer" (OC really *does* do 1st class work) or if they were standard equipment for our brand from the factory.

Yep, they look factory once mounted, and in the self storing position.

HD didn't have them, but found them at Lowe's. I'm good to go!

On another note... is there any contact info I can pass along to folks that might ask where I got them or is it limited to FROG's?

I usually pass this along:

Forest River Forums - Forest River Owners Community

Remember, it might be called FRF, but that doesn't mean we don't welcome non-FR.

Sometimes (as in the pic I posted) we have to angle out a ways to get past the concrete pad and 6' won't be enough.
Just use 2 of the 6'ers. According to the reviews on the longer ones, they don't retract very good and have to be hand rolled the last 5'.

Couldn't they also use the 14', but then cut off the last 5' or 6' to get an 8' or 9' one that will reach farther than a 6', but be short enough to retract?

Not limited to FROGS, just to & on the FRF.

Don't know, I just read the reviews on the 10'ers that they wouldn't retract the last 5'.
