I got black Schedule 40 PVC poles from Homedepot.com in the 1.25" and 1" sizes. They match the black awning hardware on our trailer and telescope together nicely.

thanks OC,

Old Bleu......never thought of getting black, but it would have matched my black hardware also, the gray is just always at the Lowes and I'm pleased with the results of the gray,....

that collar ring at the top of the outside post is from the female end of each 10' piece and there to re-enforce that area, I cut them off and glued a section of it to the top end that you see,....since it is pvc, I wanted to re-enforce where I would be drilling and applying pressure on the pins from the hold-down strap,.....to accomplish that re-enforcement on the 1" inside pipe, I bought two 3/4" pipes, ........with my circular saw I cut a blade width groove thru one side the full length of the 3/4" pipe,......then I could squeeze it and force it into the 1" pipe the full length,.......thus, re-enforced strength at all drilled holes/pressure points,......

awning posts are something I've wanted for a long time and OC's brackets are a terrific product to make that happen,.....

I am not a close friend of OC and have never met, but I have a set of his poles and when properly installed and used along with some common sense they have performed flawlessly. He put out a quality product. Thanks !!!!!

I just bought a second swimming pool net pole. I had one already. That's what I will use for poles. Very light but sturdy. I will have to paint them the blue does not match the camper

Just a note to get a kit while they last, it will be around 6 months before anymore will be available.
