You forgot OC doesn't paint and it could be a while before he is near another FR member to do it for him. That allows plenty of time for rust to develop.

Old Coot told me to put a cap on the bottom to act as the feet, but they were out of stock. Instead, I found these meter hub connections that I thought would act like a great foot for the poles.

Even with the foot turned in towards the trailer the foot still has clearance.

Thanks OC, I appreciate your guidance and I can't wait to try them out at a campsite.

I picked up my electrical conduit today to make my poles and I can't find the carlon PVC hubs anywhere. Apparently since they aren't allowed by code in my area no one carries them. I think it's a great idea to use them. They look perfect. What else are you all using for feet on the PVC poles??

Same here. I can find metal hubs but those won't fit on the PVC. It looks like the only places online that have them are in Canada. HomeDepot's Canadian site has them but not the US site. Rats! They'd be perfect and the holes would be perfect for a tent stake.

I checked with a large electrical supplier in town and they can't even get the 1-1/4 PVC Hubs that Kaadk used. I guess that is only going to be an option for the Canadians' to use. I guess I'll just put a cap on unless anyone has any better thoughts. With that being said, I got my brackets in the mail the other day (Thank You OldCoot). I've got a friend who is going to powdercoat them white for me. I got my PVC conduit all cut to length and all of the holes drilled so I should be close to ready here before too long.

Hmmm... I really want to get a hold of these. I think they are the perfect foot (feet?) for the poles. We just have to find an illegal "hub runner" to sneak them across the border.

The only other thing I can think of is to glue a threaded adapter to the pole and then screw on a metal hub. Just not sure how that will look.

Do I need to bring a box or two to the next Goshen?

I found this on web. Haven't had time to call and don't have a way to receive and mail out the extras. But if someone did I would be greatly interested in two of them.

Sorry I don't know how to make a link to go to the site.
