The new ones are made with heavier wall inside tubing and don't have the plugs in them.

Well thats to bad I like the plug no water. Did you drill a weep whole in the bottom then? Mine are heavy enough they do not bend at all one of my better investments. Thanks you old goat..

I handed my wife one of the new poles and some sand paper.....
she said "I don't think so, Tim".....
She knows my name is not Tim....
(the pole did not get much shining done on it yesterday)

Major Problem
Just got an email from Joe stating he only got 1 telescoping pole assy and nothing else. As I have nothing left in the shop, I must have shipped 4 complete sets of attaching hardware and 3 pole assemblies to someone. If you received more than 2 sets of poles, (2) 5/16" ss bolts & locknuts, 2 upper attaching brackets, (2) 1/4" hitch pins, 2 lower stow brackets and 1 set of instructions with (4) 3/16" pop rivets, PLEASE pm me so I can make arrangements to have them shipped to Joe. Thanks and sorry for the screwup! Now you know why this was the last batch.

The new ones have a weep hole in the pad. The plugs won't keep the water out as there are numerous other holes in the upper poles.

Not when they are stowed in place attached and in use yes you are right, but I drilled my own, for when they are not being used. Your are awful touchie today. I 'm not the one who shipped 3 instead of 4, I warned you about your CRS disease....... You better get that Surface so it's not that much weight for you to carry around, or get Frankie to do it for you......

Hopefully the missing stuff will show up, otherwise Joe will get a full refund and I will make him a set of attaching brackets and he can get telescoping paint poles from Lowes/HD.
Not the same, but the best I can do as I have no more pole material.

OC, he sent that as a "reply all" so I got it as well.
I did a return "reply all" stating that YEP, if we get a spare pole we'll let both of ya know.

White tube? Don't know what that is you're referring to. FYI, UPS broke the end out of one and lost all the hardware.

Knowing what it took to get the plywood out of the one I received, I can't imagine how one could accidentally be removed; that had to have taken quite a lot of force.

Drilling the pop rivets out is the easiest way, but to break one, it would have to have been thrown.

OC, We received ours today, no extra parts. One end was also broken out and just loose in the end of the tube, but all hardware was accounted for. UPS definitely throws their cartons, etc into the trucks.....I've seen them do it at work.

Our two sets came in today OC. No extra poles (dang those tubes were roughed UP!, good thing you packed them so well), not sure about extra hardware yet.
The wooden plugs were loose....the rivets were broken out of the side of the wooden plug, but they were still *inside* the tube, thankfully.
I'll take it all out of the tubes in a bit and do an inventory on the hardware.

There here!
Just got our poles from UPS. Like with some others, the packing tube had one end cap missing. Somehow all the parts and instructions were there. On first inspection I'm impressed with the cunning design, quality of materials and the exceptional workmanship. Hope to install this weekend.

OK, curiosity did his number on this cat.
I just fully unpacked them. Those are some heavy duty poles!
Two sets of poles (as ordered) and two complete sets of hardware;
8 pop rivets
4 upper brackets
4 lower brackets
4 long bolts with nuts
4 "D" pins
2 sets of directions
I pitched the shipping tubes out the back door (for now) but leaned the poles up against the wall just inside the back door. That way he has to look at 'em on his way out to his shop to work on the golf club components that came in today also! Just a reminder...yanno?

The only thing holding the wooden plug in place on one of our shipping tubes was the duct tape.
One shipping label was almost entirely scraped/gouged off. They look like they went through a war zone!
No doubt, OC, they were tossing them, and, they travel down conveyor belts that make almost 90* turns, and probably some of them jumped the track during that.
All's well that ends well with us! they are PURTY! and gonna be downright blingy once they're polished.
Someone mentioned "Red Hot" degreaser. Where can that be bought? (got the Mother's stuff)

I just hope everyone is pleased with them. If someone isn't pm me and we'll work it out up to and including a full refund.
