Just mailed another kit. Still have some left. Get 'em while there is still good camping weather. I'm sure Turbs will make the poles for them.

Finally Installed!!!

We finally installed the awning brackets we bought from OC back in April. Had we known then that Turbs was going to start making the poles for delivery, we would have bought those from him too, but since we already had bought aluminum poles back in May we finished the job. Turned out pretty good!

We had to do some cleanup on this thread. There were some political comments, as well as rude and unnecessary remarks. This is a thread about awning hold down kits, and should not be used for anything else. Take the outside discussions to the Phrog Pond........but even there the deleted comments would not be allowed because of content.

Met one of OC's happy customers in the Campground today. I was driving by his site and noticed his awning hardware and poles. Got out and talked to him for a few. He, like I, am happy to have these poles especially on a day like today. We are camping at Edisto Beach State Park and the winds are picking up. Just wanted to let OC know and to say thanks.....again. Pleasure meeting you DKinSC!

Nice to hear the poles, etc are working as they are supposed to.

Very nice meeting you too BombDoc. Thanks for taking the time to track me down. I believe that you are the first FR Forum member I've met in the wild. This was our first trip to Edisto Beach State Park, and we've really enjoyed it. We already booked the same site for next summer.

As the winds picked up this afternoon and the rain, started it was nice to just relax and not be one of the folks scrambling to retract their awnings and stow all of the things which had been under it. As you said, we are very thankful for OldCoot's ingenuity. Have a safe trip home.

Bracket kits are now available for shipping. For those that are using TURBS poles, you need to pm him on how they mount in the brackets. The poles I make have the smaller tube attach to the brackets and the larger tube with the 3" pad are down.

Now that TURBS is selling alum poles all year(http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...les-85132.html), it's time to get your bracket kit.
