I purchased a set of the PVC poles from OC last year. I painted them white to match the awning arm and installed them in less than 45 min. (15 min was spent getting them out of OC's shipping container). I am very glad I purchased these. Nice piece of mind that they keep the awning in place. We beach camp a lot and being able to walk away for several hours and not worry about the awning is awesome. You won't regret the purchase.

Finally got the remaining 756 holes drilled in the remaining inner (upper poles) now to chamfer/de-burr, assemble in the outer poles, assemble kit, go to Lowes and get the shipping tubes, plywood for end caps, cut end caps, print the instructions and start shipping. Still quite a bit of work to do for an old lazy man. Hope the hardware gets here by mid week.

All the outer poles are drilled & chamfered. Now to de-burr the ends of all the poles, but that's for tomorrow. I QUIT (for today anyway) that's a total of 1900 holes drilled and chamfered (76 holes/pr x 25=1900)

May go to Lowes and pickup the shipping tubes and take TOWTA to the Golden Corral for supper.

Coot, I'll take the last pair if there not sold. Let me know the details when you have time.

Thanks,

Last batch of 25 OC Awning Poles are all promised

Well, Grayfox got the last set of my awning poles if everyone that emailed me previously takes them. Hopefully I can start shipping late this next week. I will email everyone to get a confirmation that they still want them.

Thanks to all 24 FRF members.

OC,

Just sent your our confirmation email, and followed that up with our paypal information.

I'm excited! We'll have them in time for our April 4th trip! Gonna show 'em off to our Texas "family of choice" campin' buddies!

YEEHAW!

P.S. If you end up with any un-confirmed orders, we may be able to sell a set for you to our TX buddies.

Just replied to your email, OC. (hit the rack early last night...just found the email)

As I said in the email....

IF, and yep that's a huge IF, we ever sell our 5er, those poles will NOT go with it!

Let me know if you have any sets unclaimed. Like I said, I think I can sell a set to our TX camping buddies. Haven't told 'em about our sets. I want 'em to glow green with envy when they see 'em in April.

We're the only ones to order 2 sets? Surprised at that.

Hope you're not disappointed. Maybe if you do what gljurczyk did and polish them you'll really turn on the envy light.

Weezer--I already told the wife when we go from the TT to a fiver, the poles go with us and white sheet metal screws go in the holes of what we leave behind!

Inner & outer poles ready for assy. Still missing the ss nylok nuts and pop rivets to start assembly. 25 sets of instructions printed. 13 shipping tubes, unloaded and ready to cut them and make end caps. Still shooting for late this week shipping.

You can just print one sheet of instructions for us.

OR, if you have them in a PDF file, email the instructions to us and we'll print 'em here.

Took some Ideas from this and other spots I found and this is what I have so far, made my own version of awning poles. This is what I have so far I used the cargo support poles from Harbor Freight and cut a piece of pvc to make a cup shape and bolted it to the cargo support poles. Will then wrap a ratchet strap over the top of the awning and connecting the other end to a trampoline spring and a dog tie out. I made 3 of the awning poles because I have a 22 foot awning figured I'd put one in the middle. Opened up they reach 9 1/2 feet long.

All the hardware is in, sent an email to all those who ask for the poles and pole kits to email me their PayPal login names & shipping address even if you sent it before. As soon as I get that, I will invoice and when paid will start shipping.
