Now we are down to 2 kits left.

Also got the checks from UPS for Rebecca's & Joe's lost poles, brackets & hardware. Hopefully all those that lost parts I have sent replacements. If not, please contact me.

After drilling the bottom hole in the pole for the bracket there must have been a shaving left in the hole. When I started to extend the pole it stuck so now I cannot slide (read force) the pole in either direction. I guess I will go the painter pole direction now.
Got the poles separated today, but did not have to spend two hours like OC experienced. I had to use a pipe wrench at the base of the outer pole cause the base plate did not hold up to the tourque required to break the poles free. The inner pole was really gouged from the shaving that was between the inner and outer pole, but it will not show when the pole is extended. Used wet/dry sandpaper to smooth it up, but the poles bound up again when they were put back together. I wrapped and stapled some sandpaper to an old broom handle and reemed out the inner surface of the outer pole and now they slide like they are supposed to.
Thanks OC.

No i resent that, If you remember with your CRS. Mardey installed them on the second awning while at your house. At that time I was going to only use one set and move them to either awning.( couldn't afford two sets at the time) When I bought the second set of poles you sent them prepacked. I even Pm you and said do you want them back being you guys installed them at your home so I could carry them on either awning. I'll leave them in my trailer and next time I see you I will give them back to you, not a problem.Who knows when I will see you again but I will hold them...

Still have 2 sets left that I can ship tomorrow. Looks like with the diminishing demand, this will be the last of them for a while.

Not begging, just tired of looking at the boxes.

Are you into the adult beverages again/still?

Got the upper brackets attached while camping near Daytona. I used the spiral stakes and springs from the Camco Awning Anchor Kit, replacing their around-the-tube strap with a bright yellow ratchet strap that I can hook onto the bracket and spring. I painted the brackets, but the poles are still bare for the moment. Quality stuff OC. The awning is firmly supported and your craftsmanship is much appreciated!

OC's awning tie down kit

I guess these are probably all sold...but we managed to miss these posts totally. Just fell into them and realized you MIGHT have a set left? If so, how can I order it? If not, sorry I didn't find this WAY sooner . If there IS a set left...does it include the poles or do we have to buy our own to go with the kit? Anyway, won't ask any more questions until I find out if there is a set left. Look forward to your reply.

Allow me to intervene in this squabble

Are these the awning tie down poles you are talking about or just the hardware mounting kits? If it is the poles, I would be interested in these. I can pay gljurczyk to ship them to me and pay O.C. for the product. Then you guys can go back to being best buddies.

Interested? PM me and we'll work out the details.

It's just the 2 upper brackets and I hate to admit it, but Glen is right, we did mount the 2nd set as well as the 2nd awning lock when he was down here.

Probably not required, but nothing here is required. The springs will keep you from tightening the strap too much and it will give the awning a tiny bit of flex. In any case, the DW wanted some flex.
