Don't make them anymore, but I think I might get some material in FL this winter to make maybe 5 or 10 sets for folks willing to come pick them up.

I used the Aluminum poles that Lowes sell for swimming pool skimmers
They were pre drilled for the top bracket
They are three piece so there is structural integrity
The "Handle" that you would hold for pool skimming is the finished foot for the ground.
They have the grip screw tension knobs and tighten up nicely.
All in all I'm happy with the set up cause they are light weight and have a finished look.
They are Bright Blue and it works for us cause our rug is the same blue and our chairs are same blue.
I'm sure they could be painted with proper prep.
We will see how they hold up.
However, for future down the road,I'm thinking a more permanent application
So, Neil, I will purchase a set of your aluminum poles in the spring if you decide to manufacture them.
We plan on keeping this unit for years to come and I have to think long term

Got all the holes drilled & chamfered, the upper brackets formed. In process of bead blasting the upper brackets. Still have to form the stow brackets, bead blast them , stamp all the upper and lower brackets, fold the instruction sheets, bag all the parts, go to the PO and get some more boxes and start boxing them.

During the five days we stayed at Greenbo Lake SP in Kentucky, we had three moderate to severe storms roll through. OC's awning system performed flawlessly.

Now is the time to get the brackets so you can have the poles ready for what's left of the season this year or be ready for next year.

We really love ours. We used them in the Amana's and then for 9 days on our secret place (kids didn't know where we were). The neighbors used rope to hold their awning down, during a 24 hour rain theirs had a big puddle in the middle and a lot of strain on the fabric. I went out and looked at ours AND NO PUDDLE AND NO STRAIN. I tell you make sure that you buy the longest poles that you can, ours went from 8' to 12' and they were almost all the way extended...sloped spot--level pad, just sloped after that.

You can not beat that system that he came up with no matter how much of a hard time I give him.. I suggest anyone with an electric awning put them on. It has saved me more then once. Electric awnings are garbage in my opinion...

That's true B&B, but just the metal arms are so Flimsy. Plus the manual had built in legs if needed......

Last week I use a few vacation days and was at the cg alone.
A storm blew in with high winds gusting 45 - 50 mph.
Normally I would have close up the awning by having someone hold each pole during closing.
But no one was at the cg just me So I left the awning deployed as I felt it was the best chance for awning survival Scared? you bet!
In combo with the poles and the de-flapper the awning did just fine

Finally got my poles finished and we are using them this weekend. Working great!
