Making plans for future pole kits that would include poles, brackets and hardware. Need to get some idea of how many people would want them knowing they would have to pick them up in Concord, NC?

Got my brackets last week. Now for the poles. Lots of opinions on here about best material to use. Any consensus or is it just personal preference? Any one material better than another for someone a bit less handy in terms of making a sturdy, good looking pole?

Posikive lock type fiberglass painter poles, at Lowes/HD....not the twist to lock type...will need to drill a few more adjustment holes in the alum end of pole....drill 1 hole thru other end, backing up pole with scrap wood, Bolt on, done. Also, I dis away with the foam on the handle.

It's a personal preference but many are using painter extension poles. Look for Wooster/Sherlock Extension Poles available at Lowes or Home Depot.

I agree. Drill more holes, and I shortened mine so it fits perfect in the lock down when the awning is up. The lock pin goes through the foam and it is very secure. Will post photos soon.

I see more than just Turbs speaks with forked tongue. Not to mention any names, but his initials are Yarome.

I know, but its too tempting to mess with Neil. He's probably getting inundated with IM's wondering why he won't ship poles.
Oh crap... Can he see this?
You DO realize I'm going to have to pay for this...

What? I thought you said no more kits for 6 months. Since you changed your mind on the kits, how soon before you are shipping poles again? 😜
