Glenn Jurczyk on SITE 432 HAS THE AWNING POLE ATTACHING KITS ON SALE FOR $80. SO, if you are interested just get ahold of Glenn. He also has my Sherline gauge and can weight your pin wt or tongue weight. I hope everyone has a wonderful time.

Got to finally use my OC brackets & Turbs poles and both products are great, now I don't have to worry & rush back to close the awning when the breeze picks up, if you are thinking of getting the kits or poles do not worry as both are worth the money, thanks OC & Turbs!!!!!

Old Coot I'll get with you next week when you are back around your place and come by and get a set of the awning pole attaching kits. I've got a set of poles in route from turbs early next week as well.

Someone else has probably already come up with this idea. (Sorry, I've not been following this post real close.) First, I finally installed my kit and it worked great last night during T/storms and winds. On my Sandpiper, I have to remove my front pole as it hangs down too far. So, I came up with a fairly quick way to remove the pole. I cut 3+/-" off the threaded end of the handle off a paint roller and mounted it in the bracket so it pivots. Now all I have to do is screw the pole in place and strap'er down. I actually did both ends this way and store the poles in the storage bay. I used the Wooster Sherlock 6'-12' adjustable poles from Home Depot. Thanks OC...these kits are awesome.

OldCoot and everybody else,

Just finishing up an almost 3 week trip with the awning poles. Set up the awning upon arrival. My only fear is where we are there is very rocky soil but it seemed to hold fine. I will probably invest in 'The Claw' in the future. Rained for the first 2 days and since then have had 4 different thunderstorms. While everybody else was racing around trying to put their awnings up, my wife an I just sat under the awning and watched........it was great. Just had a storm roll through late last night. I just rolled over in bed and went back to sleep.
Now, in all fairness we did not have super high winds but it was blowing as expected. Top notch job. 'A' Number 1 in quality and satisfaction.

I will never have another awning without these.

Mounted my brackets and poles a couple weeks ago but it's been so rainy I haven't had a chance to try them out till today. I fugured the bright orange straps might keep anyone from tripping over them.
