Awning pole hold down kit

06-19-2015 edit by FRF site team: Over the course of this thread, the OP now makes awning bracket kits only. He no longer provides the poles with the kits. However, another member has taken up this aspect, and you can get the poles (if you don't want to make your own) at this link below, to compliment the bracket kits in this thread you are currently reading:

Anyone in the Charlotte area interested in a set of pvc awning poles, pm me. I have one set left. Made two sets last week for 2 guys and one got his and the other didn't show, call or notify me, so first come, first served. Will not have anymore until late Mar if I can get some alum tubing in FL.

I guess the market has dried up on awning poles. Guess I'll just take this last set to FL.

Take a pic of the awning arm where the roller bolts on. Need 1/2" from the bolt to any bulge or offset.

I'm interested in a set of poles too. Tired of reeling in my awning every 20-minutes. Located in Pennsylvania. I have a Rockwood 2306.

I did not know somebody was making them. Bought my materials @ Lowes...took a day to make(drilling all the holes took the longest). Cost was approx. $20.00.

How do you attach them to the awning?

I bought a short piece of 4" PVC and cut it length wise....about 5 " long. Glued that to the 1 1/2" pvc pipe that you use for the height adjustment. I then use a a tie down strap that goes over the awning tube on each end and back thru one of those big screw anchors that goes in the ground. Pull the strap snug so it tight against the saddle and it does not move. Had it the wind a few weeks ago and everything stayed very snug. Also drilled a hole in the 2" pvc pipe at the bottom at an angle and can drive a tent stake thru it to hold it in place.
