Kenjoan,

First off, let me say, sorry that you have to give up the camping lifestyle. I hope you are blessed with better health ahead.

We currently have a 36 ft Bighorn fifthwheel with 2 A/C's. We are very skeptical about having an RV with 1 A/C. I realize that the roofs are lower than that on a fifthwheel. We do spend alot of time in the Southern sun. Please give me your honest opinion on this. Where do you camp most of the time?

Thanks for info.

I have the same model and live in Florida. You have to be a little creative with the one A/C. Just like when we park our car when going out we look for shade!! Using the awning helps a lot, I have the "HEATSHIELD" sun shades for the cab windshield and door winds, made insulated inserts for the overcab windows, use the insulated vent covers and made one for the skylight. Also use Reflectix on the back window and have a roll handy if we ever need it.

Spent the month of August in Biloxi last year and it may have got up to 80 degrees one afternoon for a couple of hours but that was before I had the heatsheld sun shades. DW was happy and that says a lot

We have done all our camping in the summer months in PA and our motorhome is stored in Florida in winter months. Last summer in PA it was unseasonably hot. We had trouble with our AC and it was replaced with a new one under manufacturers warranty. We are still in Florida and have tried out the new AC here and it seems to be great now.

goldenbetty, here is a link to the heat shields. They are ordered as a pair for the 2 side windows and then one for the windshield and they fit perfectly.

Oh, I forgot to mention that we had our motorhome windows professionally tinted. This helps a great deal. Between having the tinted glass and several AC ceiling vents throughout our motorhome it is doing a great job keeping it cool. In fact, it gets too cool and we have to raise the temperature.

Beautiful rig, sorry you have to sell.

You may want to list where you are at too.

We have a Concord 300Ds which is similar and it cools well in the Deep South with just a single A/C, but we hunt for shady campsites.

Yes, we are leaving Florida end of May for PA. We are listing it in the Scranton Times in Scranton, PA. I believe we have it priced for a quick sale. Thanks for all your comments.
