Check the IRV2 forums. In their classified section there's a sub section dedicated to toads. Lot of them, and many are ready to tow.

Thanks as well we're also looking for a toad and will check the IRV2 Forums as well. Noticed yours is a 2013 Subaru XV Crosstek so we're confused. We we're told you can't use any Subaru as a Toad because they're all wheel drive. We have a 2013 Subaru Forester XT and would love to use it. How do you make it work?

Up until 2016 you could tow a MANUAL/STICK shift Subi 4 down. That included just about all Subi's with a stick except, I think, the WRX and BRZ models.
If your Forrester is a manual shift it is towable 4 down. Very easy to do with no extra preperation to the vehicle.
After 2016, Subi changed their recomendations that you should not tow your Subi.
For info, NO Subi with an automatic trans can be towed, at all. Must be flatbedded.
PM me if you need more info.

Just an option. We have a 2012 Jeep Liberty that we set up as a toad (not for sale). The set up was extremely easy. To keep the costs down, I shopped Craiglist for a tow bar and toad brake system (all Blue Ox less than a year old) and found both very reasonable. The only new parts were the RVIBrake battery tender, the base plate, and the 12 volt wire harness for the lights. The Jeep has a vacant tail light lens specifically for a toad setup. The whole set up was about $600. It was DIY. Whole lot cheaper that buying new and having it installed.

It may be easier to find a vehicle of your choice and go the route we did. The Jeep had 8,003 miles on it in the fall of 2016 (also on craigslist).
