Yes, I did install it myself. Looking back on it I think I was a lot more worried about it than I needed to be. The instructions are straight forward and there are several good you tube videos on the installation. It did take me a little longer than some claimed but I was pretty anal about making sure I got it right.

That is my concern installing it right. Did it take long for you to get use to backing up and hooking up to it?

I got the hang of hooking up and disconnecting without any problem. I was surprised it was so easy. I found it much easier to hook up the ProPride than it was previously of getting the ball under the trailer coupler. I picked reference points on the tailgate and the trailer to keep it centered, got close and then got out to raise or lower the trailer so the stinger was at the proper height to go into the hitch. Got back in and backed into it. I don't want to understate it as it is different and takes a few times to get use to it. But once you get comfortable with it, it is considerably easier and quicker than standard hitches.

My new 2015 Flagstaff 26rlws should arrive in about a month. I went ahead after doing extensive reviews on the best hitches and just received my new ProPride 4p hitch. Out of everthing I have read about the upgrade changes I read and speaking with Sean I fell 100% confident that this hitch will completely eliminate any sway. At one time I had a 32' Prowler TT and was pulling it to Florida and around Birmingham I was in the interstate doing about 65 MPH and I was going around a curve just starting over a bridge and a tractor trailer truck was going around me and the trailer started swaying so bad the entire truck was heading off the road and by the grace of the good Lord I got control of it. I thought our family was dead. I even had during that time a very good equalizer hitch on it. Bite the bullet and buy the ProPride. Call Sean and he will guide you through the process.
