Reese 16k slider hitch

I'd consider trading my reese 16k ez slide hitch for a similar size without slider. Mine was bought in 2010 and slide has never been used. Obvious now after 3 years that i dont need a slider.

No damage, usual signs of low use. Less than 7000 miles of towing 7000 and 8800lb 5th wheels. I would trade for undamaged, reg hitch that fits same rails. North louisiana area will make for easier trade.

If you can't find a trade, I believe you can just get the standard legs that will fit the head and the rails from e-trailer for about $100.

I am in the same boat as you, I got the R16K slider with my 5w and I am figuring out that I don't need it. I am going to swap out the slider part for statdard legs. I want to do it so it is easier to get the hitch in and out of the truck. The slider is akward to get in and out.

Don't know if this will help, good luck!!!

I just bought one for 400.00. I have 2007 Tundra crew cab. Thought you would have to have slider with short box. Know , I'll have to help tongue weight . What do you say is better, the air bags or timberens ?

Thanks. Mainly thinking why haul the added pounds if not needed. I'll check out trailer.

I'm only experienced with the airbags. Satisfied with em, especially with wireless remote. Original compressor went out at about 30 months. New one was $69 and easy to install.

I have only had experience with Timberlins for two trailers and I like them. As far as the short box, my camper came with a Reese Revolution so I dont need the slider.
