I've been putting this project off too long, wish I would of seen this post sooner. It would be awesome is Jim posted some installed pick hooked up to the short box. Kinda wonder how much room is up there so the bikes don't hit the truck or the camper. Maybe???? Fingers crossed

I noticed this thread and see a couple of people asking about shortbeds and Reese Revolution pin boxes...I invite you to read this thread about my pin box bike rack build (designed for Reese Revolution and used with a 6.5' bed).

Pin Box Bike Rack...There are many like it, but this one is mine!

Here's what I built for my Trail Air. Actually I made a couple of them for myself and a friend. I recently upgraded my rack to a 4 bike Thule.
The receiver tube was from Harbor Frieght. I welded it to some tubing (IIRC 3x1x10) and I drilled and bolted it to the top of the hitch.
Works great and is solid.
