[SOLD] Pin Box 2" Hitch (for bike rack)
As fate would have it, I finally got my father-in-law to build me a 2" hitch for my pin box for a bike rack. I used it 1 time for 2,500 miles to and from Key West (where we barely used the bikes!). And now- I'm upgrading my pin box and this is no longer usable.
(missing from this picture is an eyebolt in the front for tieing an "oh snap!"-strap to)
I can include instructions for how we mounted it to my pin box (via 4 bolts/screws with lock washer) as well as including the hardware that we used. You'll need some tools for the install.
I think I'm looking for something like $75 plus shipping at the actual cost of shipping. That covers me for what I have into it and a pittance for a thank you to him.

I'm guessing this not a universal hitch?

It seems unlikely. This came off of a Lippert 1621 hitch. We measured the angle of the baseplate to be about 23 degrees (though, when my father-in-law tack welded it, he was off slightly).
But, as long as you have a flat top to your hitch and it's around 23 degrees- this should bolt on.

We put a machined eye bolt there to give me somewhere to hook a strap to.
I'm trying to see if I have any close up pictures of that part.

Here's a picture cropped down to just that area:

Long bed, but no issues by a fair amount- even in sharp turns. I jumped out during the first few turns to see how it looked and was always pleasantly surprised.
But, I can't make any promises about a short bed truck.

Nope, you just have to cut a hole in it. We had to put spacers in to remount mine, but I can throw those in.
See the follow-on picture in post #8- you can see my cover.

I wonder how that would work with the activated Revolution pin box?

Yeah, but you can't see them back there and then it adds another couple of feet to your overall length. Plus, being high up in the area gives some theft protection! You need a ladder or truck to put them up or take them down.

That's an interesting question. It's the "arm" of the pin box that rotates, right? Seems like it would rotate your camper right into the bikes. Interesting question....

Exactly right. The bikes will stay @ 90° to the truck, stationary on the non-moving pin box, and the front cap will rotate into the front or rear bike tires.

Jimnkim, I'll send you a private message. We can figure out shipping and payment that way.
