That could be true no doubt that the previous owner added the larger turret. From the factory sidewinders come with a 10" Turret that FR uses or specked for there ultra lights. . You can buy larger turrets on there web site. On the sidewinder there is a label with the max weight that it can be used for, such as mine had 10,000 lbs gross. Your measurement is good information, less bushings required. but what is it rated for gross? It's still a good price being new they are just under 1000.00 bucks....

It is rated at 16,000lbs with a maximum pin weight of 3,200lbs

I don't think the original owner changed anything but the original pinbox and replaced it with the Sidewinder according to the OP.

That is correct, the original owner removed the original Lippert 1621 kingpin pin-box and he had replaced it with the Reese Sidewinder. After I purchased the fifth wheel, I removed the Reese Sidewinder and re-installed the Lippert 1621kingpin pin-box.
