[SOLD] Twin Honda 2000s with Extended Run Tank $1800

Honda EU2000i Companion: has a 30A plug
Honda EU2000i
Honda parallel kit: allows you to run both generators together for 4000 watts
BERGS extended run fuel tank: The Honda generators only have a .95 gallon fuel tank. The BERGS tank holds over six gallons and hooks directly into either one or both generators. Fuel is pulled from the tank by vacuum so the tank doesn't have to be mounted above the generators. This allows you to run the generators all weekend long without interruption.

They weigh about 50 lbs. each so they can be carried by hand. The idle adjusts as the power consumption needs change. At 1/4 throttle, they use about one gallon of gas every ten hours. Generators are in excellent condition. Both just over a year old. We used them for ATV races to power our camper. Each race weekend, the generators would run 25-30 hours. Every three races, the oil was changed with Mobil-1 0W-30 synthetic oil.

We sold the camper so have no need for these anymore. Brand new, this set-up would cost approximately $2300. I am asking $1800 on craigslist. Located just outside of Raleigh, NC.

Thanks. These have been great. The only time we even hook up the second unit is when we knew we'd need the AC. Other than that, only the Companion would be running and we could do just about anything we needed. Only thing was don't run the toaster and the microwave at the same time if running only one generator. Run both and do whatever you feel like.

I love this set-up but now that the Work & Play is sold, it'll just sit here. All the new toy haulers we're considering as a purchase will have the Onan built in so no need for an outside generator.

WOW! that looks like my exact setup.. but carry the generators in a Pelican case (holds both with extra plugs, fuel lines, etc). and have a 2nd 'extended run' tank. but it's NOT for sale! Didn't realize what those were worth!

Is there a good place, pdf, or instructions on how to set up this BERGS or another extended run tank system. Thanks for your help.

Not sure but its rather easy. Assembling the hoses to the tank with Teflon tape takes less than ten minutes. Then you have quick-connects to hook up each generator to the tank. The Berg system uses its own fuel cap so there's a seal with no air leaks. That creates the vacuum as the Hondas use fuel.

Notice the picture. You can see the fuel caps from the Berg system on the generators. The fuel cap on the big Berg tank has a valve so you can open it. The Hondas use fuel in their tank. That creates the vacuum and pulls fuel from the Berg tank. Run the generators all weekend long without even missing a beat.

Its quite simple.

As for the value and the sale. The man and his wife came. They'd been watching craigslist for quite awhile. She said when she saw it, she told her husband and he called right away. Cash money and they didn't even try to haggle. They were very happy.
