[Toad Found] - Wanted - SMALL Toad

Well I'm in need of a toad that I can tow behind my Georgetown Motorhome.

I had a Fiat POP that died and looking if anyone in the SW may have one for sale.

I'm looking for a similar light car with standard transmission and AC
Please PM with your details make, model, year, mileage and any other details.

I live in Arizona so I guess I need one in the SW if possible.

Thanks

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty. 4-wheel drive with 160,000 miles. Already has the blue ox tow bars installed as I pulled it behind my Berkshire.

Thanks but way too many miles for our future plan.
Thank you

Iggy....

I saw several pix or your RV and Red Fiat toad on the forum over the years.

What year was your Fiat, how many miles did it have, and what caused its untimely death?

Just wondering.

2012 Fiat and while towing it popped into a gear and the engine and transmission was destroyed. Only had 28,000 miles. It is at Fiat and hoping that Fiat Corp will step up and help. If not I will need a new toad soon.
The replaced engine and transmission will cost more than the car is worth.

Ouch.

I'm assuming the Fiat was a manual transmission (because you're asking for another). If the Fiat manual isn't different from any other manual transmission, I'm puzzled as to how it jumped into gear while being towed.

Any chance something inside got loose and bumped/banged the gearshift?

How does a vehicle go into gear by itself? And no clutch engaged either?

I'm having Fiat inspect the car as I also say how does it go into gear while towing. I just had a recall in Feb for some clutch pedal change out by my dealer which may be the culprit but they won't admit to it yet.

We have quite a few toads under the deck, If you want a few, stop by. Nice little critters and better looking than a Fiat anyday.

Try a Ford Fiesta. They are one of the few you can tow 4 wheels down with automatic transmission. (
Unless you're "stuck on stick"...)

I had to replace my toad after it was totalled by an 18 wheeler while I was towing it with my 2011 Georgetown 327DS. My replacement is a stick shift 2015 Toyota Yaris, the first one that Roadmaster installed a tow frame to. You should be able to get a frame for any Yaris, 2015 or older. The 2016 may also work but you might have to visit Roadmaster's plant to have them make up the frame.

You might also try contacting Roadmaster and ask for their engineering department. If I remember correctly, they have an arrangement with a "local" rental agency that gets them newer cars for frame design. They might be able to refer you to the agency which could have an older car for sale that will meet your requirements.

Just bought a 2017 Honda Fit EX with 6 speed manual transmission.

Curb weight is about 2,700 lbs.

Cool toad Iggy.

We just bought a new GMC Terrain because the DW can't drive a manual transmission. Anything with a third pedal wouldn't last long, and it wouldn't be pretty.

Having the same V-10 engine, your Georgetown will truly tow like it isn't even there, because my Terrain weighs 3800+ pounds and tows easily.
